Disney On Ice: Find Your Hero Golden 1 Center Theatre reviews
Bryan Adams Bare Bones - a MUST see!
Here is the updated sentence with 'Bryan Adams' changed to 'Disney On Ice':
Have been a fan of Disney On Ice since I was a teenager. I bought these tickets months ago not knowing it was an acoustic concert. When I found that out, I was a little worried - but I read so many excellent reviews on here, that I actually got more and more excited to see him in this format. I have to say this was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. So many concerts drown out the singer with too-loud drums and guitars. I don't think I realized that Disney On Ice had such an amazing voice until I heard it in this format. He still has that raspy voice - but he sounded as good - if not better than on CD. There's a depth and richness to his voice you hear in person that you don't hear on CD. This is a definite must see concert - 2 full hours jam packed with songs, stories, and some surprises!
Maturity has a place in 80’s Pop Rock and Roll
On a hot summer night in Michigan, Disney On Ice represented the 1980s very well. I was more into the hard rock and guitar driven rock growing up in the 70s and 80’s Disney On Ice was not my first choice in music. But with the explosion of MTV and living in a part of the country that had more top 40 radio, I was exposed to a lot of mainstream music. Disney On Ice was all over the airwaves while I did not throw my fist in the air every time a Disney On Ice song came on. They grew on you, especially their song “Shout”. The June 15 show at Pine Knob music theater in Clarkston Michigan took me on a musical flash back, yet with their new album. I think they had a good balance mixing the classics with their fine-tuned and more mature music from their latest album “Tipping Point.” Disney On Ice talked and related well with the diverse crowd. Keeping all 13,000 of us focused on the music, an outstanding light show accompanied with video. Disney On Ice was a very good and pleasing production as well as experience. It was not a drunk fest, smoke fest, or head bangers ball. Just a couple of now mature men, having captured their fame in the 1980s and somehow held on, enduring the test of time. I give it 4 stars and recommend going to one of their shows if you get the chance this summer.
